How to start your day in the most awesome way? With a FREE exercise class :) i.e. Project Awesome :)

This morning was a struggle… Not having fallen asleep till 3 am, I had to wake up around 5:45 am. A friend who was staying over at our couch (& who I also had to wake up & take care of, being a good hostess of course :), asked me why I decide to leave so early despite such a short & ergo painful night… But I was a woman on a mission! & nothing could stop me – Yes, I was shattered but also full of positive energy looking forward to an exercise class with an awesome difference :). Project Awesome run by a very awesome indeed & full of positive energy Mr Danny Bent, awarded a place in the famous Independent Happy list 2015, & Ms Adventurer Extraordinaire Anna McNuff, is simply put “FREE fitness movement in London that gets you out of bed and into shape” ( ok definitely out of bed, I confirm ;). Named “The friendliest workout in London” & taking place in some of the most scenic parts of London, such as today’s Tower Bridge area & Primrose Hill on Fridays, it is probably one of the most perfect ways to start your day with some friendly strangers coming from all ages, races & colours having one goal in common – have fun & get fit 🙂 All levels are welcome! Even though I regularly cycle, swim & as you know, hike whenever I can since the age of 5, after two hours of sleep, my press-ups were probably the crappiest ones today in front of the whole Project Awesome community :), but that...

Wonderful jazz show a la 1930s :)

I am working this weekend… but it is the labour of love! 🙂 Last year a lovely lady booked my jazz trio for a very special birthday party taking place in her house in Devon.. a special birthday do with a 1920s theme :). I am so much looking forward to singing some of the most famous jazz tunes wearing a 1920s inspired dress. red feather boa and a string of pearls 🙂 AND accompanied by top London jazz musicians Nick Webster on double bass and Benjamin Croft on piano. We are driving together to the sea side and will be hosted by the birthday lady spending the night outside London. And we are being paid and fed 🙂 How not to be happy? 🙂                 I am truly honoured every time I get to add some music & joy to someone’s event & celebration. And very happy so many of my clients thank me afterwards with numerous emails & reviews 🙂 When you do what you love, you never work 🙂 Indeed! it is indeed pure pleasure 🙂 Maja www.livejazzsinger.com ...

Modelling work again :) This time a la Hollywood :)

As you know from my modelling tab, I also work as a model every now and then… & this week I got booked for a photoshoot of a lifetime 🙂 creating the old style of Hollywood from fabulous 1930s period  – see some images on http://www.pinterest.com/hall8083/fashion-noir/.   I simply cannot wait to shoot! My friends often tell me that I look just like my grandma from a picture she got taken during the Second World War, or that my grandma on that picture looks just like.. Ingrid Bergman :). I wish Maria, my grandmother could be here with me to enjoy my modelling career… but I am sure she is looking over me from heaven & it is thanks to her support I got confirmed for that wonderful assignment. Below a picture from another 1930s inspired session this time with the very talented Phine Ka Photography http://phinekaphoto.500px.com/ , hair and make up by equally incredible Pascale Recher http://www.pascalerecher.com/      ...
